Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern your use of Cofoundr. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. We've tried to write them clearly — if something is confusing, email us and we'll explain it.

What Cofoundr is

Cofoundr is an introduction platform. We help founders post their startup ideas and connect with potential co-founders and investors. That's it. We don't vet the people on the platform, we don't participate in any deals, and we don't take a fee or equity for introductions made through the platform.

Any agreement, partnership, investment, or other arrangement you enter into with another user is entirely between you and them. Cofoundr is not a party to it, does not endorse it, and is not responsible for how it goes.

Your account

To use Cofoundr you must:

You can delete your account at any time by emailing lucien.riviere@cofoundr.app. We'll remove your account and associated data promptly.

What you can post

You can post startup listings and profile information that honestly represent you and your work. You agree not to post content that is:

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, and to suspend or delete accounts that repeatedly do so.

Messaging

The messaging feature is for genuine professional conversations between users who are interested in working together. Don't use it to solicit, spam, or harass other users. If someone asks you to stop contacting them, respect that.

Your content

You own the content you post on Cofoundr — your profile, your listings, your messages. By posting it, you give us permission to display it on the platform (for example, showing your listing to people who are browsing). We don't claim any ownership over your ideas or information.

If you delete your account, your public content (listings, profile) will be removed. Messages may be retained for a short period for operational reasons before being deleted.

We don't verify users or opportunities

Cofoundr does not verify the identity, credentials, experience, or intentions of any user on the platform. We don't check whether startup ideas are viable, whether investment offers are legitimate, or whether anyone is who they claim to be.

Before entering into any business arrangement with someone you met on Cofoundr, you should do your own due diligence. Talk to them, check their background, get legal advice if appropriate. This is true of any professional networking platform.

Limitation of liability

Cofoundr is provided as-is. We do our best to keep the platform running reliably, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.

To the extent permitted by law, Cofoundr is not liable for:

Changes to the service or these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email. Continuing to use Cofoundr after a change means you accept the updated terms.

We may also change, pause, or shut down features of the platform. We'll give reasonable notice where we can.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
